How does the pricing work?
The initial one hour in-home consultation is absolutely free. We will meet to talk about your vision for your project and to get to know each other. After the initial meeting you will receive an estimate of the hours I expect to spend on your project, for which you will be charged a flat hourly rate. This rate covers all design services, which can include: presentations, selections of finishes, fabrics and furnishings, drawings and construction documents, shopping, meetings and installation. Any products that you purchase through Andrea Weidner Design will be separate from the design fee.
I have a good eye. Why do I need an Interior Designer?
Many people are not sure if they need the services of a Designer because they have good taste themselves and so they are not sure what a Designer can really do for them. I think they are afraid of being pushed into spending tons of money on a design that they didn’t really want. I totally understand this feeling and I make it a point never to try to persuade anyone into a design they don’t love or spend more than they have budgeted for. I understand that you are the person who is going to live with the end result, so I do my best to tailor the design to exactly fit your needs. My goal is to make my clients happy. As for what a Designer can do for you, I think sometimes it is challenging and confusing for people to try to pull an entire project together. I can help with that. As a professional, I have access to resources the average person does not, and can offer suggestions, samples and options, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and goals, and keep the entire job on time and on budget so that you do not have to be overwhelmed by it all. Pulling a home together should be an enjoyable time for you, not a headache.

All fees will always be explained to you prior to any work being done, and nothing is done without your approval, so you will always know what to expect and there are never any nasty surprises.
